Abstract

Silvia Saggiomo studied the venoms of four species of jellyfish and stonefish. She found that venoms can be studied to understand their mechanisms of action to improve treatment modalities of sting victims. In addition, venoms can also be used for drug discovery that can have positive impacts for human health.
