Abstract

Kezia Drane investigated the role of a wastewater treatment plant in the release of antibiotic resistance genes and antibiotics to the Great Barrier Reef. The findings provide insights into the effects these biological and pharmaceutical contaminants may have on marine microbiomes and characterise interactions necessary for the development of adequate One Health risk assessments.
