Abstract
Sandra Hook investigated visual response to 'place' in North Queensland following select colonial explorers, while sensitive to British imperial incursion. She utilised the phenomena of memory, imagination and sentience to perceive and observe these sites through drawing and printmaking. The exhibition and exegesis extend cultural capital for North Queensland.
