Abstract
The College of Business, Law and Governance at James Cook University has been employing the flexibility of Blackboard Collaborate Breakout Room facility in a variety of ways and contexts to enhance student learning. This session will illustrate three different approaches to the use of breakout rooms to engage student communication and collaboration relevant to group assessment across a 3-year undergraduate degree. The presenters will discuss the purpose, supports and benefits of using breakout rooms to develop the online students’ self-efficacy in using this form of digital communication.
