Abstract
This presentation will discuss a project that aims to support research literacy and career readiness through highlighting alumni career journeys. The “alumni spotlights”, created as podcast episodes within the JCU Psychology Department's Professionally Psyched podcast, showcase diverse psychology careers through real career journeys. Findings from a mixed-methods case study involving a pre-/post-term survey and individual interviews will be shared. In addition to discussing the implications for cultivating a more connected, confident, and professionally engaged and resilient student community, reflections on the findings will also address creatively disseminating career-related information to undergraduates via podcasts and how to optimize student engagement and address concerns of career readiness.
