Abstract
This thesis investigated the extent to which tidal hydrological connectivity influence wetland vegetation distribution patterns and prey pulses export in a dry tropical seascape. The results highlight that tidal connectivity is an important mediator of tidal wetland values and functions, highlighting the importance of managing connectivity in tropical seascapes. The methods and findings of this thesis will assist coastal managers in developing efficient strategies for the long-term management and restoration of tropical saltmarshes.
