Abstract
Ratna Pillai examined skills-based volunteering (SBV) as an instrument to co-create value for companies, employees and nonprofits. To achieve this, companies could facilitate information symmetry for skill matching, build an SBV-inducive organizational culture, leverage partners' resources. With proper design, SBV could also help enhance employees' engagement in their workplace.
