Abstract
Jane Mateer studied the experience of Australian Army Nursing Officers (NO) in contemporary armed conflict. She found NO were a resilient group, variably prepared for the complex practice demands of armed conflict, where military, clinical, moral and personal readiness were essential. The results are being considered by the Australian Army.
