Abstract

Eric Fisher described the oceanography at a fish aggregation site and patterns of aggregation in coral reef fishes. Clear patterns of aggregation in all fishes were persistent over decades and correlated with two biological drivers, foraging and reproduction. Aggregation sites are critical to coral reef ecosystems by concentrating and connecting fishes, thereby replenishing populations.
