Abstract

[Extract] This 1992 issue of Hungarian Studies in English is based on papers delivered at the conference, The Practice and Problems of Australian Studies in Europe and Australia, held at the Institute of English and American Studies, Lajos Kossuth University, Debrecen, in mid-May 1992 and jointly convened with the University of London's Sir Robert Menzies Centre for Australian Studies. The volume draws together leading Australian Studies specialists from both Australia and Europe who offer authoritative and up-to-date assessments of Australian Studies, whose successful introduction at Lajos Kossuth and Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest in 1 991/92, makes it one of the new and exciting area studies on Hungarian curricula.
