Abstract
[Extract] Umbrella Studio has been part of the history of printmaking in North Queensland since 1986. From its inception it has provided a basis for the development, critique, facilitation and mentoring of younger artists who wish to use the medium to express ideas and issues related to place and time. Neoteric: Prints, Print Sculpture and Artist Books by Local Emerging and Mid Career Artists is an eclectic show curated by Jo Lankester, an established printmaker, as a result of a series of mentoring and skills exchange workshops held at Umbrella Studio.
