Abstract
Thermal conditions in shallow inshore marine habitats exhibit substantial spatial and temporal variability and can reach extreme values that greatly exceed open-water sea surface temperature. These short-duration thermal events pose a risk to seagrass condition, productivity and resilience, yet are not resolved by existing satellite products or broad-scale hydrodynamic models.
