Abstract

Rainy Comley reconstructed past fire regimes from Kinrara Lagoon utilising a 7-meter sediment core and geochemistry techniques (pyrogenic carbon). The record went back thirty-seven thousand years and contributes to our alaeoenvironmental knowledge of Australia tropical savanna regions. The links between fire, vegetation, climate and humans was of specific focus.
