Abstract

This presentation is discussing the hegemony of extraction: of nature in the case of Australia; of labour in the case of Southeast Asia. We argue that this is occurring amid a sense of infinitude and indifference heading to escalation as for the former, likely to persist till exhaustion for the latter.
