Abstract

Bram van de Straat investigated Anopheles bionomics in different land-use types in Sumatra, Indonesia, for simian malaria transmission. Land-use type significantly affected Anopheles bionomics in North Sumatra. His global analyses of all anopheline papers published from 1985-2011 showed the emergence of behavioural resistance before the scale-up in insecticide-based interventions.
