Abstract
Sandra Dash explored a number of factors that shaped the development of formalised nursing in the North Kennedy region between 1910 and 1925. During this time period, access to healthcare was limited, safety and quality in healthcare were fledgling concepts, and the training of nurses was embryonic in its development.
