Abstract

Compounds isolated from two Australian tropical plants have been studied; Corymbia citriodora and Ceratopetalum hylandii. The first is a medicinal plant used by the Australian Aborigines to treat different diseases. While the second is endemic to Far North Queensland. A total of 10 compounds have been isolated and identified from both plants and bioactivity analysis has been carried out on those that have been of greatest pharmaceutical interest.
