Abstract

Doctor Aquino quantified and optimised sperm quality in redclaw crayfish. He found that wild-caught male breeders' exhibit poor sperm quality, but nutritional intervention expedites gonadal maturation, resulting in faster development of males to reproductive conditions. These findings are valuable for improving selective breeding programs for commercial redclaw aquaculture.
