Abstract

Marites Canto developed a physics-based model for estimating benthic irradiance from remote sensing imagery to generate GBR-wide benthic PAR data. Using the benthic PAR data, she characterized the baseline pattens of benthic light, explored the drivers of variability, and developed an ecologically relevant index of water quality in the GBR.
