Abstract

[Extract] Dear Editor, Artificial intelligence (AI) is a scientific field that studies machines capable of simulating or exhibiting specific human traits, such as intelligence, learning, reasoning and problem-solving. At present, the advancement and enhancement of new AI tools can be credited to substantial capital deployment and investments amounting to billions of dollars by major technology and innovation market leaders. Notably, in the healthcare sector, AI has made remarkable strides, particularly in Dentistry, where it optimises a wide range of tasks, from appointment scheduling to the prediction of treatment outcomes.
