Abstract
The care work for people in emergency homeless shelters is closely related to adequate, necessary qualifications of the staff. However, the need for qualifications is not sufficiently differentiated in the literature and in the homeless assistance system. In order to characterise the qualification more precisely, findings on the qualification of staff in Australian emergency shelters were gathered in an exploratory qualitative research study.
