Abstract
The English botanical artist Marianne North visited Australia and New Zealand in 1880- 81 , and completed 90 paintings (80 in Australia, 10 in New Zealand), mainly of the indigenous flora in habitat. Among her paintings are a number of scenes which represent historically important images of some Australian botanical gardens.
