Abstract

A customer-to-customer oriented web-blog or a portal (e.g., Carousell and Gumtree) which indulges users in e-shopping and promoting their used product for sale over the internet. Today's E-commerce sites face quite a lot of hassles and predicaments giving E-commerce companies challenges to look into things like password authentication, user identity protection. In particular, user accounts protection and preventing bogus users who may damage the reputation of the website. The first problem being password authentication is suggested to be solved by the use of valid email ID authentication, wherein the password will reach the user's email after registration which he will use to login. The portal auto generates an alpha-numeric code that is sent to user's registered email ID for verification purpose. This is just the initial phase. When the user registers on the portal with a valid email ID, his/her email ID will be verified as to when it was created and whether it is associated with any other major websites. If this validation proves to be legit he/she will be sent that alpha-numeric code. The user is also provided an image wherein he/she has to select pixels of his/her choice. The second problem being user identity protection is suggested to be solved by inculcating user authentication and product verification procedure to hide personal information which will in turn bring profit to the website. In order to protect user identity user is asked to select the pixel of the similar image when he/she had registered on the portal. By enabling this impersonation can be prohibited.
