Abstract
The series of Character Education videos have been developed as professional development material for early years school staff's employed with the Archdiocesan Commission for Catholic Schools (ACCS) Singapore.
The 5 videos on the values based focus of Catholic (Singapore) preschools were launched with the schools February 2016 at a system wide professional development day. All schools were provided with the 5 short videos.

| Research Background | The Character in Education Professional development videos have been developed for early years staff employed with the Archdiocesan Commission for Catholic Schools (ACCS) Singapore. They are integral to the character in education focus of ACCS, and are used with school staff both as induction Professional development as well as school wide professional development. |

| Research Contribution | The content in the videos is based on empirically based / evidenced informed literature. The content is informed by a comprehensive review of the literature and ongoing cycles of action research within the ACCS early years school system over a four year time period. |
| Research Significance | The video content is significant as it contributes to the sustainability of character formation as a priority with ACCS early years schools. Schools working with the videos and the accompanying Character Education kit are providing feedback on the translation of the content into the classrooms, playgrounds, home and community settings. In the past 12 months the primary schools and secondary schools have requested professional development in values based education, influenced by the success of the professional development program happening in the early years contexts. |
