Abstract
[Extract] In this chapter, we introduce readers to key concepts of health economics, with particular relevance to the role of economic evaluation in population health. The material here was derived from a contemporary series of blogs on the economics of population health (www.gcph.co.uk/latest/blogs) with the aim of facilitating fresh thinking on key matters of importance in the economics of population health.
