Abstract
[Extract] Fragments of the Owl's Egg is a film about the fragility of lived memory, the vitality of imagination, and the inevitabilities of loss. Focusing on a multidisciplinary group of researchers and Aboriginal people working on a land management project at a remote camp in western Arnhem Land, Kim McKenzie has made a quietly impressive film that shows the ways that a shared passion for the striking rock art of this plateau country unites people in common endeavor.
