Abstract

As part of the Country Based Planning contract with the Queensland Government, Traditional Owner groups were asked to produce a Consultation Report.  The report provides a summary of consultations undertaken and feedback from Traditional Owner groups as to their interest in pursuing further discussions with the Commonwealth Government about a potential World Heritage nomination for Cape York Peninsula.

This report summarises the consultation undertaken as part of the country based planning project. Completion of this report together with the financial acquittal is the final milestone required to complete James Cook University's obligations in relation to this project. It is consistent with the Country Based Planning Consultation Report Guidelines produced by the Qld Dept of Environment and Heritage Protection.
