Abstract
[Extract] Lee suggests that spatial sorting will be important only under limited circumstances, that it may often affect traits also subject to natural selection, and that it will enhance the effectiveness of selection by increasing phenotypic variance via positive assortative mating. These points build on the arguments advanced in our original paper, and we broadly agree with him.
