Abstract

Sebastian Hoefer investigated the value of passive acoustic monitoring for terrestrial vertebrate biodiversity assessments in Australia. He found that acoustic monitoring offers a highly cost-effective approach to large-scale, long-term monitoring of vertebrate biodiversity, essential to evaluating and enhancing effective conservation action.
