Abstract

Shiva Kanthasamy explored the factors contributing to caregiver stress and coping mechanisms, highlighting their impact on placement decisions for family members with intellectual disabilities. Caregivers reported on stressors, coping resources, stress responses, and adaptation outcomes regarding placement decisions. The findings underscore the need for a personalized approach to caregiver profiling.
