Abstract
Phil Lignier investigated the reasons behind the geographical diversity in subjective wellbeing. He found that the local climate and natural environment influence individual wellbeing. Social trust and social cohesion in urban neighbourhoods are also important contributors of individual wellbeing. These findings will inform climate adaptation strategies, environmental and social policies in urban neighbourhoods.
