Abstract

Etivina Lovo explored the ethically principled approaches informing human research ethics (HRE) from traditional and international perspectives in Fiji and Tonga. Indigenous principles must be included in HRE guidelines for ethical research. This research has informed embedding indigenous principles in HRE guidelines that are vital for truly ethical research in Pacific Islands.
