Abstract

Sophorn Nhoem explores health, growth and social change during Cambodia's Iron Age (500 BCE–CE 500) through innovative methods for the estimation of biological sex, long bone length and stature from fragmentary remains. Findings highlight regional variability, societal impacts on health and methodological advancements, emphasising the need for in-country bioarchaeologist training and testing metrics on contemporary Southeast Asian samples.
