Abstract
Vouchering is the collection and preservation of plant specimens for the purpose of physically documenting plant distributions and ecology in space and time. It is hoped that this chapter will increase awareness in the conservation community of vouchering's fundamental importance to plant conservation and restoration ecology. Therefore, it is specifically aimed at practising conservationists and restoration ecologists. However, much of the information will assist students and others involved in collecting, preserving and identifying specimens.
