Abstract

With the impending implementation of the new tax agents' regime with its code of professional conduct and the relentless efforts by the Commissioner and other senior members of the Tax Office to raise the bar on the expectations on tax practitioners, especially to act in the public interest, it is opportune to take a few minutes away from busy practice to review the contemporary debate on tax practitioner ethics.
