Abstract
[Extract] Pseudomantis hartmeyeri was described by werner (1912) from a series of nymphs from Boorabbin and Subiaco in southwestern western Australia. werner lists four unsexed nymphs in his original description, although Balderson (1984) indicates that two additional specimens were included in the syntype series, one of which may be an adult. Although werner’s description is is reasonably detailed, it contains no figures and is based solely on juveniles. As such, until recently the identity of P. hartmeyeri has been uncertain.
