Abstract
[Extract] Art galleries and museums play an important role in shaping community and cultural identity and provide insights into our past, present, and future when staged effectively. Ellis Rowan: Colonialism and Nature Painting was a collaborative partnership between Queensland Museum Network (QMN), the National Library of Australia (NLA), and the Cairns Art Gallery (CAG), which sought to showcase works that intersect artistic production in historical, social, and scientific realms.
