Abstract

[Extract] Under the guidance of Geoffrey P. Dobson, a team of researchers has made significant preclinical strides in exploring the use of adenosine, lidocaine, and magnesium (ALM) for treating various clinical conditions. However, as its applications diversify, the effectiveness of ALM comes into question. This letter revisits the origins of ALM, its early use in experimental hemorrhage, and its recent use in experimental anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) surgery scenarios to provide insight into its design and clinical usefulness.
