Abstract

This study makes a unique methodological contribution in investigating the distinctive elements of repeat tourists’ experiences. It employs the netnography technique examining the blogs written by repeat travellers to India. The blogs were analysed with the help of multi-method approach involving content analysis and sentiment analysis. The results emphasised the relative importance of different aspects of experience and established that the cognitive aspects were the most important element of repeat tourist experiences followed by behavioural and then sensory elements. The findings suggest that different aspects of experience contribute to special tourists experience of repeat visits.
