Abstract
Lana Elliott explored the political economy of sugar-sweetened beverage tax adoption in Vanuatu and Fiji. She found that, despite ostensible health framing, the introduction and design of both taxes were significantly shaped by domestic economic, trade and commercial interests. Findings may inform future global and local policy advice and action.
