Abstract

Preparative photochemistry has seen significant growth in the past 5 years and is now routinely conducted in the chemical manufacturing industry. New methodologies and concepts have also entered early industrial research and development stages. Scale-up for technical applications remains challenging due to the special properties and requirements of light-based methodologies. This Update by Dr. Loubière and Dr. Oelgemöller provides an overview on recent developments and stakeholders in photochemical technologies.
