Abstract
MC Nannarchy’s Nannacocoa Economix was performed live at the 2023 Research for Ethical Development Symposium. It accompanied the theoretical presentation: "I'm not greedy but I like a lot": attitudes to consumption in an oversized teacup. The spoken-word rap performance is synchronised to a montage of photographic images, showing a range of ceramic tableware as material metaphors for attitudes to consumption in Britain, Germany, the United States of America and Australia as (generally) high-income economies.
