Abstract

In the international environment of energy conservation and environmental protection, renewable energy generation such as wind power has developed rapidly in recent years. The rapid development of intermittent renewable energy generation has brought new challenges to the robust/flexible planning and safe operation of power systems, and the design and operation of power markets. In the past 10 years, some research has been done at home and abroad on how intermittent renewable energy generation can participate in power market operations after grid connection, especially its electricity price formation mechanism and bidding strategy. Against the above background, this paper first outlines the development process of renewable energy generation participating in the power market, and then reviews the research results on renewable energy generation price formation mechanism and bidding strategy at home and abroad. Finally, based on relevant research literature, the impact of renewable energy generation participating in power market operations on market electricity prices is analyzed.
