Abstract

Irene Ampomah employed multimethodologies to assess the enablers and barriers to traditional medicine integration into the mainstream Ghanaian health system. She found a consumer-led tolerant health system with parallel deliveries, and limited integration. She developed the 'SHIFT' model capable of advancing integration and transforming current health delivery practices within the Ashanti region and beyond.
