Abstract

God'spower Okoh investigated the occurrence of novel viruses in Australian wildlife using broad-based molecular assays. He developed universal PCR assays and discovered 20 new viruses in freshwater turtle and agile wallabies. The methods can be used by health and conservation agencies to develop cost-effective disease monitoring plans for OneHealth.
