Abstract

This review describes for 2008–20; reactions, synthesis and computational studies on bicyclic 6-6 ring systems containing five or more heteroatoms. Nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur containing bicyclic systems are included. There is an interest in high energy compounds containing multiple nitrogen atoms as potential explosives.
