Abstract

Geoffrey Lui investigated the Zenadth Kes self-determination discourse through six key moments over time. The term self-determination was not used to describe Islanders' actions, nor were Islanders always positioned in the centre of the discourse. Further research is needed to uncover true meanings of Islander self-determination in the discourse.
