Abstract

[Extract] Partly an update, partly a condensation of the author’s The Flight of the Emu (2001), Robin’s new book recounts the history of birding in Australia from Gould to the present day. As in the earlier work, there’s a lot on ornithological science but recreational birding gets good coverage too, as do the intersections between the two.
