Abstract

Rosalie Shephard examined the history of cultural landscape change in the Redlynch Valley. She found that attitudes to white people in the tropics, and legislation under the White Australia policy, largely influenced the evolving landscape. Her research acknowledged the neglected role of women in the history of the area.
