Abstract

Jayden Logan studied the excretory/secretory proteins from the human hookworm. He made some of these proteins outside of the worm and tested them in inflammatory models of disease. One of these proteins selectively suppressed the production of inflammatory cytokines. These results provide potential candidates for treating immune diseases.
